Our Story
More Than a Market — It's Where the Community Comes Together
Sisseton Farmers Market was born from a simple belief: when neighbors grow food together, everyone eats better. What started as a handful of families selling surplus from their gardens has blossomed into a weekly gathering that celebrates the richness of the Red River Valley.
Every vendor here is a local — a farmer, a baker, a crafter, or a preservationist — and every product tells a story you can taste. From heirloom tomatoes warmed by the August sun to honey drawn from hives just outside town, we bring the best of what this land offers straight to you.

What's Fresh
From Our Growers to Your Table
Every season brings something new. Here's a taste of what our local growers bring to the market throughout the year.
Heirloom Vegetables
Tomatoes, peppers, squash, and greens grown without shortcuts — just rich soil and patient hands.
Sweet Berries & Fruit
Strawberries, raspberries, cherries, and apples picked at peak ripeness — never rushed, always flavorful.
Artisan Breads & Preserves
Sourdough loaves, seasonal jams, and small-batch honey — baked, boiled, and bottled with devotion.
Fresh Herbs & Edibles
Basil, mint, rosemary, and edible flowers that transform everyday meals into something special.
Eggs & Dairy
Pasture-raised eggs, fresh milk, and artisan cheeses from local dairies and free-range flocks.
Handcrafted Goods
Candles, soaps, woven baskets, and seasonal decor — all made by hand right here in Sisseton.
Community First
A Market Built on Connection, Not Just Commerce
Sisseton Farmers Market is more than a place to shop — it's where our community gathers. It's where kids taste a strawberry for the first time, where neighbors swap recipes, and where local growers find an audience that appreciates what they do.
We host cooking demos, seasonal festivals, and workshops for families. Every visit is an opportunity to meet the person who grew your food and to support the local economy that keeps Sisseton thriving.
